The insulated lifting platform of 1ADM-1.3 makes it possible to perform maintenance operations at energized catenary.

The vehicle was designed to carry out the following operations:

  • scheduled maintenance and emergency recovery operations at electrified catenary lines with tension of 3,3 kW DC and 27,5 kW AC;
  • Transportation of loads on coupled wagons;

  • Delivery of workers to site;

  • Shunting at station yards;

  • Power supply to welding equipment at work site;

  • Power supply to electrical equipment working at 380/220V, 50Hz.;

1ADM-1.3 catenary maintenance vehicle is fully self-propelled. The control cabin is mounted on the front end of the vehicle frame and there is a cargo lifting crane placed on top of it. YaMZ-238 B-14 diesel engine is installed on the rear end of the frame. There is a lifting platform mounted in the middle section of the vehicle frame. Torgue is transmitted via belt-drive to the 3-phase alternator and via hydro-mechanical transmissiot t0 cardan shafts and air-compressor. Torque from cardan shafts is further transmitted to the axle gear boxes of wheel-sets.
